Escape room games

When talking about escape room games, the image of a group of people (friends or colleagues engaged in a team building program) intent on solving puzzles to leave a locked room often crosses our minds.

This is what we are dealing with today. At the base of the escape room as we know it today, we need to tell the story of the escape room games, in order to, we have to jump back to 2006.

In that year, in fact, a team of developers active in Silicon Valley – the place where some of the revolutions of the last ten years were born – created one of the first escape rooms inspired by the books of the yellow queen Agatha Christie and the game called Real Escape Game.

Takao Kato is behind this development. The idea of developing a game with themes similar to those of the escape room came to him when, sitting at the desk in his class, he noticed a classmate playing a game on the PC that involved the resolution of some puzzles to open a door.

Starting from this idea, he began to think about how to bring the videogame experience in real life. This is how Real Escape Game was born. Escape room enthusiasts can experience the thrill of live play even at home.

The board escape room games, just like the physical rooms in different cities of Italy (the largest in Milan), are very characterized from the point of view of storytelling. You can in fact buy games set in a scientist’s laboratory, as well as board escape room games that allow players to tackle puzzles in a disquieting abandoned home.
